The Pret Foundation

The remit of the Pret Foundation is the alleviation of poverty, and in particular hunger and homelessness in the UK and in Pret markets around the world.

The Foundation fulfils its remit through activities including surplus food redistribution, targeted grant giving, and shelter/employment programmes.

The Foundation tends to support smaller, grassroot homeless charities where tangible results can be seen as a result of making cash donations, kitchen equipment donations and food donations.

Beyond food donation to shelters and hostels, the Foundation can also support smaller charities with anything they need; from sleeping bags and kitchen equipment, to funding jobs that are crucial to keeping these much-needed organisations alive.

Pret continues to strengthen relationships with existing charities with repeat donations, while also establishing partnerships with new charities.  Grants can cover various projects and can pay for support workers, rent, course supplies, counselling and drop-in centres.

Further information about the work of the Foundation can be found in its Annual Report and on its website.

Applications may be made at any time.  Interested applicants are advised to contact their local Pret store Manager in the first instance for a chat about what support can be offered.
