Main Grants

Grants from £10,000 to upwards of £1 million for UK registered charities and local authority cultural organisations.  The vast majority of grant awards tend to be towards the lower end of this funding scale. Matched funding is encouraged.

Grants are predominantly awarded in the cultural sector, although charities working in the areas of health and social care are also sometimes supported.

The Clore Duffield Foundation is a grant making organisation which concentrates its support on:

  • The Arts.
  • Cultural leadership training.
  • Education.
  • Gallery education.
  • Health and social care (occasionally), and
  • Museums.

The Foundation also seeks to enhance Jewish Life, although its grant support is largely directed towards JW3: London's Jewish Community Centre.

The Foundation places a particular emphasis on supporting children, young people and society's more vulnerable individuals.

A range of initiatives are supported, from small, local projects to large scale schemes.  Grants can be used for:

  • Capital redevelopments and learning space initiatives.
  • Project, programme and revenue funding.

To apply, eligible organisations should initially submit a Letter of Application, which should be no longer than 2 sides of A4.  The letter should include a self-addressed envelope.

If interested in the proposal, the Foundation will arrange to meet the applicant and, after following this, complete a full application.

Applications may be made at any time.

The Foundation also has a Learning Space programme.
