The Miss Kathleen Beryl Sleigh Charitable Trust

Grants generally of between £2,500 and £20,000 are available for UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas in the areas of

  • children and young people
  • elderly
  • people with a disability (particularly loss of sight)
  • music and cultural organisations.

Miss Sleigh owned the mineral rights in part of the Cauldon Low Limestone Quarry, Staffordshire and these are the main source of income and of funds for the Charitable Trust.

The Trustees hold the funds upon Trust for exclusively charitable objects and general charitable purposes in any part of the world as they see fit, although most grants are made for registered charities working in the UK.

The Trustees consider applications from UK charities and voluntary bodies.

Please note that the Trust does not have a website. Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website.

Applications may be made at any time in writing.
