Grants, generally for under £5,000, are available to registered charities supporting children and young people in parts of the UK and Channel Islands where the investment and wealth management company, the Rathbones Group has an office. This includes Bristol
The objectives of the Foundation are principally to help young people from less privileged backgrounds and those charities where funding would make a significant difference.
To fulfil these objectives, the Foundation makes grants after reviewing proposals put forward by charitable committees representing each Rathbones office.
Rathbones allocates each office up to £10,000 each financial year to be applied towards such charitable purposes as each charitable committee puts forward for the trustees' consideration. The majority of grants made are for £5,000 or less, with the occasional higher award.
The Foundation does not have a website. Registered charities can contact their local Rathbones office at any time to ask if staff would consider supporting a grant request.
