The Gordon Fraser Charitable Trust

Grants for UK registered charities working in the areas of animal welfare, the arts, museums and theatre, education, health, the relief of poverty, religion and young people.

The Gordon Fraser Charitable Trust generally awards grants between £500 and £20,000 to UK registered charities, although the vast majority of grants made are for less than £2,000.  The average grant award tends to be for around £1,500.

The Trust generally favour charities operating in Scotland but not to the exclusion of charities operating solely in England, Wales and/or Northern Ireland.

The Trust particularly favours organisations involved with the performing arts, particularly if children, young people and people with a disability are involved.  It also favours organisations that further the visual arts and museums.  In addition, applications from small medical charities and environmental charities (including the built environment) are encouraged.

Further information, guidance and an application form is available on the Trust’s website.  Applicants are required to register on the Trust’s website prior to applying for grant support.
