Canterbury, Kent based grant-making charity, the R G Hills Charitable Trust awards small grants, normally for between £1,000 and £2,500, for both national and local charities, some of which are engaged in overseas charitable work.
The Foundation only supports charities registered with the Charity Commission (or those with a similar status) after having carefully considered the merits or otherwise of specific requests. These are mainly, but not exclusively (the Trust supports a wide range of charitable causes), charities concerned with:
- Education.
- Health, and
- Poverty.
The Foundation usually refers to the general and financial information about a charity applying for funds using the Charity Commission website and other publications in addition to information provided by the applicant.
Please note that the Foundation does not have a website. Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website.
The Foundation has stated that “to keep expenditure to a minimum, replies are normally only sent to successful applicants”.
Applications may be made at any time in writing.
