The Sperring Charity offers financial support to the people and organisations of Midsomer Norton and surrounding areas. It is the generous legacy of Ralph Sperring, who left his estate to benefit the community that he loved.
Any local club, organisation, school, community group or individual within a Parish wholly or partly within a five mile radius of the church of St john the Baptist in Midsomer Norton can make an application for a grant.
Application is simple - you simply fill out an application form telling them how much money you’d like and what you want it for. The Board of Trustees meet on a quarterly basis to review all applications and decide which grants to make. Only one grant can be made to each applicant each year.
The remaining 2026 deadlines are:
- 23 April
- 23 July and
- 22 October
Trustees meet on 7 May, 6 August and 5 November 2026.
