Grants between £500 and £5,000 to small not-for-profit organisations based and working in Bristol, Bath & North-East Somerset, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire for charitable and community activities, projects and services.
Grants are designed to support charitable and community activities, projects and services that fulfil the following:
- Aim to improve the lives of local people by addressing specific needs and disadvantages within their communities.
- Complement existing local charitable and community initiatives
- Reflect the concerns and priorities of the people they aim to benefit, and
- Where possible include the active involvement of local people in designing and delivering the activity
Applications for climate action and nature recovery work are encouraged, and applications which include consideration of these issues as an element of the work (for example, building improvements, carbon literacy training, fuel and food poverty, community transport, use of community green spaces) are welcomed.
The Foundation is likely to direct the majority of funding towards projects that will have the greatest impact and will take into account the access an applicant has to other sources of funding and whether they are offering something needed in their area.
Further information, guidance and an online application form is available on the Foundation’s website.
Applications may be made at any time, with decisions normally made within 8 weeks of receipt.
