Grants between £1,000 and £10,000 are available for registered charities in England and Wales working in the areas of culture, education, medicine and social welfare.
The Basil Samuel Charitable Trust awards grants to registered charities in England and Wales that are carrying out medical, socially supportive, educational and cultural activities, as well as making a number of donations to other charities.
Generally, grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 are available with the occasional higher award. There is no matched funding requirement.
The Trust has supported a wide range of organisations, including:
- Hospices.
- Medical research.
- Museums, and
- Organisations supporting people with a hearing or sight impairment.
