Grants, usually for between £3,000 and £5,000, are available to UK registered charities whose work is considered to be of national significance in the areas of the arts, promoting health and the relief of people in need due to their age, ill-health, disability or other disadvantage. The Trust does not award grants to local charities.
As the Trust does not qualify what it means by the phrase ‘of national significance’, we assume applicants are expected to make a case for their work being important to the whole of a country or nation rather than to a part of it. Charities that can demonstrate that their work has an influence across all of the UK are more likely to be prioritised for grant support.
Registered charities may apply for a grant of between £3,000 and £5,000.
The Trust’s annual grant budget is usually between £100,000 and £150,000.
Applications or requests for further information about the Trust’s grant-making may be made at any time in writing.
