The DWF Foundation is the charitable arm of the DWF Group, a leading global provider of integrated legal and business services. Applicants are normally required to give the location of their local DWF office as the Foundation’s funding is raised by DWF staff, who use their knowledge of the local area to advise on the allocation of grants. A reference from a DWF staff member is welcomed. A list of all DWF Group's UK offices is available on the DWF website. There is one in Bristol.
The Foundation seeks to support community initiatives that:
- Enable young people to develop skills for the benefit of the community.
- Encourage the involvement in the community of those too often excluded.
- Help voluntary and community groups become more effective and efficient, and
- Tackle a specific community issue that relate to the Foundation’s priorities above.
UK registered charities that are working at a grassroots or local level may apply for a none-off grant of up to £5,000. Salaries and running costs can be included in a proposal if it can be demonstrated that they form part of a project.
Further information, guidance, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), access to an application workshop and details about how to apply is available on the DWF Foundation website.
In general, only successful applicants are notified.
Applications may be made at any time and are considered each March, September and November
