Supporting Armed Forces and ex-service personnel

Grants of up to £3,000 are available to registered charities in England and Wales (turnover of less than £1m) that are supporting Armed Forces and ex-service personnel, as well as natural history and wildlife projects.  Projects in Cheshire and Hertfordshire tend to be favoured, but not exclusively.

The Trust is primarily concerned with the welfare of ex-service personnel and charities that have previously received a grant from the Trust, in particular:

The Trust does not make grants for less than £1,000.  Grants tend to be one-off awards rather than repeat grants as the Trust does not normally consider appeals from charities within 2 years of a previous grant being approved.

Further information, guidance and details about how to apply can be found on the Trust’s website.  Please note that there is no application form and charities wishing to apply should write to the Secretary, George Wolfe, giving details of what they propose to do with any grant made and of their current financial position. (Accounts are not needed if the most recent ones are available on the Charity Commission website.)
