The Deo Gloria Trust

One off grants, usually for between £1,000 and £10,000, are available to UK organisations and initiatives in the UK and/or overseas for Christian outreach projects.

Previously known as “Contact for Christ” the Deo Gloria Trust supports Christian outreach projects in the UK and overseas through the awarding of grants.  Deo Gloria translates from Latin as “To God be the Glory”.  In particular, the Trust seeks to achieve its charitable objective by the production and promotion of literature and by making gifts to Christian societies and missionaries.

The Deo Gloria Trust is currently focused on providing grants for direct front-line evangelism that is “spreading the good news of Jesus”.  This can be, for example (please note that this is not an exclusive list):

  • A new project/initiative for which needs start-up funding.
  • Support for an on-going ministry.
  • A time bounded event/project, or
  • Production of evangelistic material, electronic and hard copy.

Grants are mostly in the range of £1,000 to £10,000, with the occasional higher award up to £30,000. Most grants are one-off although in some cases the Trust will make monthly/quarterly payments over a 3-year period.

The Trust is open to applications from individuals but such applications should be made through a UK registered charity (for example, a church or mission organisation).

Applications may be made at any time via the Grant Portal, which can be accessed from the Trust’s website, where further information about the Trust and its grant-making can also be found.
