Community projects to relieve suffering, hardship and poverty.

Capital grants of between £250 and £1,000 are available for small UK registered charities working in communities local to the Building Society’s branches to relieve suffering, hardship and poverty.

Applicants do not need to have an account with the Society in order to apply for a grant. A ‘Find a Branch’ search function is available on the Society’s website.  (There is one in Bristol).

•    Health - projects that help those with health needs with housing, adaptations or advice
•    Security and refuge -  projects that support emergency accommodation, and
•    Sustainability - projects that help with fuel poverty, energy efficiency or climate action relating to homes and housing.
