Environmental action and sustainability, peace and reconciliation,

Grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 are available to UK registered charities working in the UK in the areas of environmental action and sustainability, peace and reconciliation, social action and work to progress the Quaker faith.

Grants can be for capital or revenue costs and can be awarded for a period of up to 3 years. While matched funding is not always essential, the Trust likes to see that applicants have sought grants from other sources.

Applications that can demonstrate the following are likely to be favoured:

•    A creative and innovative approach.
•    A UK charity working at grassroots, community level, particularly projects that show clear evidence of support from within the local community (for example, by local fundraising, volunteering and/or partnerships).
•    The project makes good use of volunteers.
•    The project challenges structural inequalities and injustice.
•    The project promotes social justice, inclusion and diversity, and
•    The project will make a quantifiable difference. Preference is given to smaller charities with 'seed corn' funding.

Further information, guidance and an online eligibility checklist is available on the Trust’s website.  The application form is made available once the eligibility checklist has been successfully completed.

Applications may be made at any time and are normally reviewed each March and November.
