Grants up to £30,000 over 1,2 or 3 years are available to charitable organisations, including Community Interest Companies, that are providing lifetime support to those in need among serving Armed Forces and Seafaring personnel, veterans, and their immediate families in England, Scotland and Wales.
Please note that grant awards tend to be significantly lower than the maximum award level of £30,000.
Grants can be used for project and the running costs of eligible organisations. Examples of the type of project that can be funded through the programme include (please note this is not an exclusive list):
• Care during old age.
• Disability.
• Improving employment prospects.
• Improving mental health, including building confidence, self-esteem and social interaction.
• Reducing homelessness and poverty.
• Tackling addictions (for example, drugs and alcohol), and
• Welfare and medical support.
Grant awards can be used over a 1, 2 or 3-year period. The Foundation may expect applicants to have a degree of matched funding in place prior to applying, particularly from eligible organisations with a limited track record of successful delivery.
The Foundation normally considers applications every 3 months
