The Joyce Fletcher Charitable Trust Small Grants

Capital and/or revenue grants up to £5,000 are available to registered charities, as well as voluntary and community organisations, for art and music activities that benefit disadvantaged and/or disabled children in the South West of England.

The Joyce Fletcher Charitable Trust generally provides small grants of between £1,000 to £3,000, and occasionally up to £5,000, to charitable organisations whose project involve music and arts, particularly where a project (a) improves the lives of disabled and/or disadvantaged children, and (b) take place in the South West of England.  Grants can be used for capital or revenue.  There is no matched funding requirement.

The Trust’s specific areas of interest for its grant-making are:

  • Children and young people’s welfare, preferably for arts activities.
  • Music and special needs, and
  • Music in a social or therapeutic context.

Please note that the Trust does not have an application form.  Applications should be made in writing and should include:

  • A summary of the applicant’s accounts
  • Details of the background, history and viability of the applying organisation
  • The reason grant support is being sought, and
  • A stamp addressed envelope (SAE), should a response be required

The Trust operates just one application round each year on 1 October.  Applicants, especially new ones, are encouraged to submit applications by early September.
