The Clare Milne Trust

Grants, generally for between £2,500 and £30,000, are available for smaller registered charities in the South West region, with a strong (but not exclusive) preference for Devon and Cornwall, that are working to improve the quality of life for people with a disability.

In particular, the Trust focuses its grant-making on smaller, effective charities with good volunteer support.  The Trust does not fund national charities.

Eligible charities should meet the following criteria:

  • Be small, well run and with an annual income of under £1 million (this is the accepted  UK definition of a “small charity”).
  • Have modest expenditure on fundraising and administration, and
  • Have strong support from volunteers.

There is no set level of grant award, although the Trust rarely awards a grant of under £2,500.

Please note that the Trust rarely provides 100% funding and expects applicants to have sought and secured match funding prior to applying.

Further information, guidance, an application form and details about how to apply can be found on the Trust’s website.
