St Monica Trust has been in touch to say that support is available through their Winter Fund for older people experiencing financial challenges in the colder months.
The Fund can provide short-term financial assistance with a range of winter-related costs, including:
- Heating and energy bills
- Energy debt (where appropriate)
- Essential household expenses that become more difficult to manage during the winter months
This support is available in addition to the assistance normally offered through their Individual Giving Fund, enabling them to provide extra help to eligible individuals who may face increased financial pressures during the winter months.
Applications can be submitted either by referral agencies or directly by eligible individuals themselves, ensuring support is accessible to those who may not be working with a professional service.
The Fund is available to people aged 55 and over who live in Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, or South Gloucestershire and are living with a physical disability, long-term physical health condition, or mental health problem.
