Grants of up to £165,000 over 2 years are available to arts organisations and state primary schools in the UK to develop arts-based approaches that create equitable classrooms and enhance learning for all children.
The fund recognises the value of arts-based teaching in helping schools achieve their aspirations for pupils, particularly those who experience systemic inequity. This initiative supports partnerships between arts and cultural organisations and state primary schools, encouraging collaborative professional learning and the exchange of expertise. Projects are designed to enable teachers and artist practitioners to work together in classrooms, with the aim of generating sustainable improvements in teaching and learning practices that benefit all children.
Grants of up to £165,000 per application are available for projects lasting two academic years. Eligible applicants include either a primary school or an arts/cultural organisation as the lead, with each partnership involving a minimum of six and a maximum of ten schools. All participating schools must be in the state sector and commit at least two teachers and one senior leader to the project.
Arts organisations may be charities, community organisations, social enterprises, or not-for-profit companies active in the arts and culture sector. Projects may also include teachers of Nursery and Reception classes, and schools can be mainstream, specialist SEND, or Alternative Provision settings working with primary-age children.
The deadline for applications is midday (12 noon) on Wednesday 11th November 2026.
