The Somerset Older People's Fund
Please note that this funding is not available for Bath and North East Somerset.
Grants of up to £10,000 are available to local groups in Somerset for projects that address one or more of the following 3 priorities for older people aged 65 and over.
- Supporting people to live active and healthy lives, whether through movement, falls prevention, mental wellbeing or good nutrition
- Reducing loneliness and social isolation (including older adults who are carers and through targeted transport provisions)
- Supporting people living with dementia and the people who care for them.
The Fund is particularly interested in projects that can reach older people who are seldom heard or under-served or live in areas of higher deprivation.
Although the Older People’s Fund will generally consider older people as 65+, it will accept applications which include people under this age (for example dementia can affect people under 65; carers may be under 65).
