The NHS Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucestershire (SWAG) Cancer Alliance wants to hear from organisations or community groups, primary care providers or local authorities who can help improve the number of early cancer diagnosis in the region's most deprived areas.
SWAG are seeking to fund initiatives that improve access to accurate, supportive, and non-judgemental information about cancer symptoms, screening and diagnosis - especially from trusted community partners and organisations.
To address these challenges and promote earlier diagnosis in underserved communities, SWAG have launched a Small Grants Scheme to support organisations working at a grassroots level. Grants of up to £15,000 are available for projects that focus on tackling health inequalities or improving early diagnosis and cancer awareness in the area covered by SWAG.
Applications may be made at any time (there is no stated application deadline).
Further information, including a Webinar recording, the application guidance document and details about how to apply, can be found on the NHS SWAG Cancer Alliance website.
