Grants of up to £1,000 are available to schools in the UK and Ireland that are teaching the national curriculum to support music education for young people in all its forms, specifically for school music projects and the purchase of instruments and equipment.
Universal Music UK Sound Foundation's aim is to support music education for young people in all its forms. The Foundation supports.
- School music education, such as the purchase of instruments/equipment or projects.
- Funding musical instruments for students in full time education, and
- Funding training for music teachers.
The Foundation’s School Fund is specifically to support the purchase of musical instruments and equipment, as well as funding school music projects.
Applications are invited for funding of up to £1,000 (this was previously £1,500) from schools teaching the national curriculum based in the UK and Ireland towards the cost of musical resources. The scheme is open to primary, secondary, junior, Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools and Further Education Colleges in the UK and Ireland.
