The Sasha Foundation

A limited number of grants, generally for up to £10,000, are available to small-to-medium sized UK charitable organisations working at a grassroots level.

The Sasha Foundation, which has its principal office in Bath, is a relatively recently formed grant-making charity that provides financial support and guidance to established grassroots charitable organisations.  Its charitable aims are to:

  • In the UK: supporting young people in the UK with a bias towards young people, who are suffering from depression and mental health issues or who are confronting drug abuse issues, and
  • Within the UK and Europe: supporting education and healthcare projects and programmes in Developing Countries, with a preference for education for young women.

The Trust does not provide a minimum or maximum grant award level.  Most grants are for under £10,000.  A limited number of grants are made annually (the Trust’s total annual expenditure has decreased to around £40,000 over the last 2 years).  Grants can be used for running costs, salaries, projects, equipment or to progress capital works.  New and existing projects can be supported.

The Trust expects applicants to have sought and secured 50% matched funding.

The Trust has two application deadlines each year, on 1 April and 1 October.

Further information, guidance and an application form can be found on the Foundation’s website.
