Founded in 1972, the Rowan Bentall Charitable Trust generally awards grants of £250 to registered charities in southern England working in the areas of
- the advancement of health or the saving of lives
- local churches —repair, maintenance, and improvement etc
- the relief of those in need, by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage: childhood and youth, old age and welfare
- the advancement of education
- the advancement of environmental protection or improvement
- the advancement of animal welfare, and
- any other purposes
The Trust regularly awards over 100 grants each year.
