The River Farm Foundation

At present, this Foundation is focusing its grant-making on other charities and charitable institutions primarily (but not exclusively) in the areas of:

  • Community Development
  • Education
  • Health and welfare

While the Foundation can make grants to UK charities working overseas, the majority of its grants are directed towards charities providing services in the UK.

Grants are largely repeat awards to the same portfolio of charities.  The Trustees have stated that they intend to continue making grants to other charities.  In particular, they aim to continue to develop and forge new links with previous recipients, academic institutions, museums and charities providing support to children, the homeless and other disadvantaged groups.  Over a period and as these links evolve, the Trustees intend to increase the number and level of grants to enable those recipient organisations to provide better and ever more appropriate levels of support.

The Trustees have a reasonable expectation that the Charity has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future.

Please note that the Foundation does not have a website.  Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website.

The Trustees aim to meet at least twice a year to discuss and consider grant applications.
