The Bruce Wake Charitable Trust

Grants, generally for under £5,000, are available for UK registered charities to provide leisure activities for people with a disability.

The Bruce Wake Charity usually provides grants of under £5,000, with no matched funding requirement, for UK registered charities that are providing leisure activities for people with a disability, particularly where applicants can demonstrate the following:

  • Beneficiaries are physically disabled wheelchair users.
  • Providing improved access for wheelchair users, and
  • Provision of a sporting or leisure activity involving disabled wheelchair users.

For projects to improve access for wheelchair users, grants of between £3,000 and £25,000 are available. 

There is no matched funding requirement.

The Trust has a 2-stage application process.  UK charities should initially complete the online preliminary application form available on the Charity’s website (scroll down to the foot of the page).  Please note that eligible organisations may only apply once in any 12-month period.

Applications may be made at any time and are considered by the Trust every 3 months.
