A limited number of grants are available to charitable organisations in the UK and/or overseas to promote and advance the conservation of amphibians and reptiles.
The objectives of the Trust are:
To promote and advance the conservation of amphibians and reptiles, their habitats and the wider environment on which they depend.
To advance the education of the public by the establishment and maintenance of herpeto-faunal nature reserves.
To execute, promote, support and publish research relevant to species and habitat conservation pertinent to amphibians and reptiles, and
To further such purpose or purposes which are exclusively charitable according to the law of England and Wales in any part of the world and in such manner as the trustees may in their absolute discretion think fit.
In the past, the Trust has awarded grants of up to £25,000. However, recently the Trust's total expenditure was just £37,358. Any grants awarded were therefore likely to be for relatively modest amounts.
Please note that the Trust does not have a website. Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website.
Applications may be made at any time in writing or via the Ludlow Trust’s Funding Enquiry Gateway, where further information about the Trust and other charities managed by the Ludlow Trust can be found.
