Grants from under £1,000 to £25,000 are available to UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas for a diverse range of charitable causes, particularly:
- hospices
- youth clubs
- junior football clubs
- Princes Trust programmes
- schools
- religious groups.
The E H Smith Charitable Trust responds to appeals from charities such as hospices, youth clubs, junior football groups, Princes Trust, local school activities, as well as religious groups.
Charities in the West Midlands tend to be favoured, although grants are awarded to registered charities across the UK and overseas. The Trust’s pattern of grant-making suggests that charities outside the West Midlands are more likely to receive a smaller grant.
