The Michael Bishop Foundation is a grant-making charity with its principal office in Leicestershire. The Foundation awards a limited number of small to quite substantial grants to UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas. The Foundation regularly donates between £2 million and £3 million each year to a wide variety of charitable causes, principally in its 5 focus areas of:
- Advancement of health and medicine
- Arts and culture
- Education and training
- Heritage, and
- Human rights and social justice
The Foundation may occasionally fund organisations or projects outside the above focus areas. Charities that wish to apply for such a grant are advised to contact the Foundation before making an application to ascertain whether it will be considered.
Applications may be made at any time using the online application form available on the Foundation’s website.
Applications are considered twice each year, in March and September.
