John Horniman's Children's Trust

Revenue grants for between £1,000 and £5,000 are available to UK registered charities with a connection to, or recommendation from, the Quaker movement for projects that support children and young people up to the age of 19 who are sick, convalescent, disabled, or have learning disabilities.

John Horniman’s Children’s Trust gives priority to projects that are run by Quaker charities or bodies (or organisations with historical connections to Quakers), and which can be introduced by a member or attender of a Quaker meeting personally or is known to the trustees and which fulfil the objectives of the Trust.

The Trustees of the John Horniman’s Children’s Trust usually meet in May and November, with deadlines scheduled for each April and October.

In its previous grants round in October 2025, the Trust announced that it was unable to consider any applications from new applicants and would focus its grant-making on those charities it has supported previously.

New applicants are however, invited to apply in the current application round, which has a deadline of Monday 20 April 2026 for the trustees' meeting on Monday 18 May 2026.

Further information, guidance and an online application form is available on the Trust’s website.
