The Emerton-Christie Charity Small Grants
Small grants, usually for either £1,000, £2,000 or £3,000 are available to UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas for core funding or project costs.
Previously known as the Emerton Charitable Settlement, the Emerton-Christie Charity is a grant-making charity that makes small grants to other UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas.
The Emerton-Christie Charity can award grants for core and project funding. While the trustees may select beneficiaries at their discretion, they tend to focus on the following:
- Education / training
- The Advancement Of Health Or Saving Of Lives
- Disability
- Arts / culture / heritage / science, and
- Environment / conservation / heritage
Please note that the Charity does not have an application form and no longer accepts applications by post. Applicants should submit their request by email setting out:
- Who they are
- What they do, and
- The funding for which they are applying (if the funding is for a particular aspect of charitable work, or for a specific project, please let the Charity know).
The Trustees meet annually, generally each autumn. Charities are asked to submit their request for grant support by the end of August each year.
Further information and guidance is available on the Charity’s website.
