As of October 2026, this Foundation is no longer inviting grant applications and in the future the trustees will proactively determine which charities they wish to support.
A statement on its website says that "the trustees have had to adopt this change because in recent years the number of applications has risen, in terms of processing, to unsustainable levels".
Previously, they had offered small grants of £2,000 to UK registered charities and not for profit organisations working in the areas of:
- Hospices
- Children and Young People
- Support for the Elderly
- People with a Disability
- Medical Research
- and Community Projects.
The Foundation’s preference was to award unrestricted grants to smaller charities and not-for-profit organisations in order to provide maximum flexibility to applicants in terms of determining how the grant can be best used.
