Grants of between £500 and £12,000 (but generally averaging £2,000-£3,000) are available to UK registered charities for a diverse range of charitable causes.
Awards have previously been made to:
- Environmental causes
- Health and medical charities
- Hospices and hospitals
- Museums
- People with a disability
- Uniformed youth groups such as Scouts and Sea Scouts
Grants are usually for between £500 and £12,000 (but averaging £2,000-£3,000), with no matched funding requirement.

Applications may be made at any time in writing and should include:
- A brief description of the organisation and project, and
- A copy of the organisation’s most recent accounts.
Applications are considered every 4 months, in February, June and November annually.
