The Giving Machine: Community Grants programme is aimed at providing small, unrestricted micro-grants of £250 to not-for-profit organisations with an annual income of under £1 million across the UK.
The programme will award 8 grants of £250 every 3 months. All successful applicants will be drawn at random.
Any eligible good cause based in the UK can apply. The Giving Machine defines a good cause as any charity, school, CASC, CIC, Social Enterprise or other organisation that is non-profit.
All organisations must have:
- A bank account in their registered name
- Income of less than £1m, and be
- Registered in the UK with a UK bank account.
There is no reporting criteria, although the Giving Machine asks that grant recipients to tell it how the £250 was used, this doesn’t appear to be a condition of the grant.
To apply, simply complete the online application form (this should take no longer than 10 minutes).
Further information, guidance and the online application form can be found on the Giving Machine website.
