The CIPS Foundation Grants

Grants of up to £80,000 are available to UK registered charities and social enterprises that are working to improve the lives of communities and individuals globally through better procurement and supply chain practices.

The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Foundation’s grants apply ethical and sustainable standards to alleviate societal challenges aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to build ethical supply chains that are committed to:

  • Improving the lives of communities and citizens globally, and
  • Reducing the impact on the environment.

Although the Foundation presently only funds charities and social enterprises registered in the UK, it supports projects being delivered anywhere in the world.  Funding is available for established organisations that are skilled and knowledgeable in tackling issues affecting communities in the UK and/or worldwide.

Applicants should:

  • Be a charity registered in the UK with the Charity Commission, although the project could be anywhere in the world.
  • Be a UK social enterprise created from a charitable joint venture (this only applies to UK charities).
  • Be a living wage, equal opportunities employer (if the organisation employs people), committed to the prevention of modern slavery.
  • Have been operating for at least 12 months and have published financial data available, and
  • Have a UK bank account in the charity's name

A number of case studies are available on the CIPS Foundation website.  The Foundation will fund projects or initiatives that help to:

  • Improve supply chains or develop new ones
  • Eradicate poor practices within supply chains
  • Develop best practice, and
  • Support individuals within the chain to access better information and support

Funding is available for projects and initiatives where issues have been identified and projects are ready to be implemented in response to these issues.

The Foundation is particularly keen to hear about projects being delivered in low and lower-middle income countries, India and the Caribbean.  Further information on what constitutes a low or lower income country can be found on the World Bank website.

The Foundation also has an interest in projects that are addressing environmental impact.

Further information, guidance and application details can be found on the CIPS website.  Applicants should initially complete the Eligibility Questionnaire on the website.

The deadline for applications is Friday 20 November 2026. Successful applicants are expected to be notified in December 2026.
