Grants of up to £2,000 GBP / €2,000 Euros are available to not-for-profit organisations, including registered charities, Community Interest Companies and sports clubs in the UK and the Republic of Ireland for the improvement of facilities, purchasing new equipment, coaching qualifications and investing in the sustainability of sports clubs.
Cash4Clubs is a £500,000 (this was previously £200,000) grant budget that can provide an unrestricted small grant of £2,000 or €2,000 to community sports clubs and organisations across the UK and Ireland.
The Cash4Clubs scheme has given out sport grants to many deserving recipients in the past and is committed to funding even more sports clubs in the future. In 2024, around 100 applications were funded. This is set to increase to between 200 and 300 in 2025/26.
Cash4Clubs is a small grants scheme for community sports clubs and organisations giving them a chance to apply for grants to:
- Improve facilities.
- Purchase new equipment.
- Gain coaching qualifications, and
- Invest in the sustainability of their club.
Applications are welcomed from not-for-profit organisations, including charities, community groups and traditional sports clubs. To be eligible for funding, applicants must be either registered charities, Community Interest Companies or clubs with a structured governance and constitution.
Applicants must demonstrate that they are using sport for social purposes, for example (please note that this is not an exclusive list):
- Addressing local issues such as crime and anti-social behaviour.
- Engaging people from under-represented groups, or
- Targeting communities facing disadvantage.
The deadline for applications is Monday 8 December 2025. Successful applicants are expected to be notified by the end of January 2026.
The current round of Cash4Clubs grants is being managed by Sported UK, a UK wide charity promoting fairness and equity for young people through grassroots sport and physical activity.
