Funding is available for coaches in the UK who have - or are actively setting up - a group to coach dodgeball, particularly with underrepresented groups and within disadvantaged communities.
British Dodgeball is the official national governing body for the sport of dodgeball in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. Formed in 2017, it operates without government or external funding, relying instead on memberships, events, coach education, and sales to grow the sport. It is recognised by both the World Dodgeball Federation and the European Dodgeball Federation. While not a registered charity, it operates as a non-profit organisation that reinvests back into the growth and development of dodgeball.
British Dodgeball are offering up to £315 per organisation for part-funded coaching courses throughout 2026 as part of the British Dodgeball Coach Training Fund.
Successful applicants will receive a 50% funding of costs for British Dodgeball Level 1 and Level 2 coaching courses and British Dodgeball coach membership for one season, enabling them to meet the minimum deployment requirements for delivering dodgeball independently in the UK.
The value of this partial funding is £315 per organisation (a maximum of 3 coaches at £105 per person (50% of a £20 annual coach membership fee and a £190 Level 1 and Level 2 Coach Education package). The other half of the training costs can be paid by the applying organisation, or sourced via match funding.
Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis throughout 2026 whilst the British Dodgeball Coach Training Fund is active. Once the application form is submitted, applicants will receive a decision via email within three weeks. This fund will last throughout 2026. The last accepted date of application submission is the 21 December 2026.
