Bristol City Leap, working together with Bristol City Council, North Somerset Council and Bath and Northeast Somerset Council, are helping owner occupiers and private renters improve the energy efficiency of their homes and lower their energy bills.
Government grant funding is now available and will be provided on a first come, first served basis. Due to the high level of interest theyhave received so far, applicants may not receive funding until year 2 of the project.
The type of upgrades you could benefit from are:
- Cavity wall and loft insulation
- New windows and doors
- Low carbon heating systems such as air source heat pumps
- Solar PV and battery storage
To be eligible for the scheme, you need to meet the following criteria:
- Currently on Gas, Electric, Oil, LPG or Solid Fuel heating
- Energy Performance Certificate rating of G, F, E or D
- Live in Bristol City, North Somerset or Bath and North East Somerset Council area
- Annual household income of £36,000 or lower*
- The property must be occupied and furnished
- The grant is not available to people living in social housing or temporary accommodation.

*Please note that if your home is in one of the lowest two postcode areas on the Indices of Multiple Deprivation list you do not need to meet the annual household income cap. You can check this here
