Bath Women’s Fund is a giving circle. Their members pool their monthly donations and, once a year, give their gathered funds to local groups as a grant.
Like other giving circles, part of their role is to encourage women to get involved with philanthropy. Members are involved in the grant making process: they select the theme, review applications, learn about the organisations applying, provide mentoring support to applicants, and vote on who receives the main grant.
Applications are now closed for their grant making theme for 2026 which is: 'Meeting the needs of families who are most impacted by the increased cost of living.' eg organisations providing food, warmth, benefits advice and preventing homelessness.
Their next deadline is likely to be in February 2027.
