The Anna Rosa Forster Charitable Trust

The Trust makes small grants to UK registered charities working in the fields of medical research, animal welfare and famine relief.

The Anna Rosa Forster Charitable Trust is a discretionary grant-making charity with its principal office in Northumberland.

The Trust’s principal areas of interest are:

  • Medical research
  • Animal welfare, and
  • Famine relief

The Trust doesn’t list grant recipients in its annual accounts, nor does it have a website.

However, the similarity in the level of awards per category in 2024 and 2025 may indicate that the Trust supports the same group of charities each year.  Likewise, the category of ‘famine relief’ suggests that the Trust will provide grant support for UK charities working overseas.  Please check with the Trust by writing to the address below to verify this.  For the purpose of this article, we’ve erred on the side of caution and listed the Trust as a grant provider for UK registered charities working in the UK.

Further information about the Trust is available on the Charity Commission website.

In the Trust’s annual accounts, the trustees state that they have a reasonable expectation that the charity has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future.

To enquire about the prospect of grant support, write to the Trust.
