Grants are available for innovative not-for-profit literary organisations, including Community Interest Companies, in the UK and the Republic of Ireland for projects and activities that amplify diverse voices and strive for a lasting impact on writers' lives, the literary and publishing communities and broader society.
The ALP is back for its seventh year to provide grants to literary organisations that inspire and champion writers across the UK and Republic of Ireland.
In 2025, the ALP supported a record 38 literary groups across the UK and Republic of Ireland. Beneficiaries included organisations that support writers of all ages and stages, such as those dedicated to building confidence through creativity, amplifying underrepresented voices, and inspiring communities through the written word.
The Amazon Literary Partnership submissions are now open and invite applications from all non-profit literary organisations in the UK and Republic of Ireland for grants to support and help grow their work in 2026.
Funding is principally for innovative proposals that amplify diverse voices and strive for a lasting impact on writers' lives, the literary and publishing communities and broader society.
Applying organisations must demonstrate that they:
- Are structurally and financially robust.
- Display energy, passion, and reach.
- Have an online presence, and
- An enthusiastic membership or readership.
The Amazon Literary Partnership hasn’t provided details of the minimum or maximum grant available. Some examples of previous funded organisations are provided on the ALP website (you’ll need to scroll down the page to find the list).
Further information, guidance and details about how to apply can be found on the ALP website. Please note that applicants will need to create a free Submittable Account on the ALP Submission Portal or sign in with Google or Facebook credentials in order to submit the application form.
