Age Without Limits Day Grants 2026

Small grants of up to £500 are available to UK community groups and local voluntary organisations for creative ways to celebrate ageing and challenge ageism.

The Centre for Ageing Better has announced that its Age Without Limits Day: Micro-Grants for Community Groups is back for a 3rd year, enabling community groups and local voluntary sector organisations within Age-friendly Communities to take part in the Age Without Limits Day on Wednesday 10 June 2026.

All events should preferably be hosted on Wednesday 10 June 2026 but must be hosted between Saturday 6 June and Sunday 14 June 2026.

For 2026 the theme is again "Celebrate Ageing. Challenge Ageism".  Grants are available for creative ways of marking the day that work for you and your community.  Previous Age Without Limits Day events included fashion shows, podcast launches, volunteer awards, photography competitions and much more.

Grants of up to £500 are available, with an additional £150 to cover anything needed to make an event or activity more accessible.

The grant is available to community groups and local voluntary sector organisations.  Please note that the opportunity to apply for these grants is a member benefit for communities who are part of the UK Network of Age-friendly Communities.  You can find out if your community is a member and therefore whether you are eligible to apply on this map.  (Bath and North East Somerset is included).

Groups may already have a specific focus on older people or might be using the action day as a new opportunity to engage with the issue of ageism.  Applications from both are encouraged.

For more information on eligibility and assessment criteria please read the Information Document on the Age Without Limits Day website (scroll down to the link at the foot of the page, where a link to the application form can also be found).

To apply for a micro-grant, please fill in the application form on the website and email it by 5pm on 10 February 2025.
