If you want to store and sell petrol for use in motor vehicles, or you want to store a large amount of petrol for private use, you will need a petroleum storage certificate.

Completing this form should take no more than 10 to 15 minutes of your time.

Get ready to apply

Your application must include the following details:

• Your name and address
• Trading name and address of the premises you want to licence
• Details on the type of fuel you want to store
• Details on the purpose for which the stored fuel will be used for
• Details about the registered storage tanks on your site

Supporting documents

As part of the application, you'll need to provide:

• a location plan of the site
• a technical drawing of the fuel and vapour containment system, including storage tanks, pipework and dispensers
• a technical drawing of the spillage containment and drainage systems
