The purpose of processing
The information below will help you to understand what we will do with the personal information that you have provided as part of the consultation process.
Please take a moment to read this and if you have any questions raise them with the relevant team using the address at the bottom.
Following a preliminary consultation in the autumn of 2025 we are now seeking feedback as part of the statutory Traffic Regulation Order process on proposed changes to parking charges for 2026–27 that aim to improve road safety, encourage sustainable travel, and ensure our parking services cover their costs. These proposals include:
• linking resident's parking permit costs to a vehicle's size
• implementing a slight rise in the cost of visitor parking permits over the next three years
• introducing parking charges on a section of Weston Road, Bath
• introducing dedicated parking for Police vehicles on Monmouth Street
• increasing costs for parking at Park & Ride sites when not using the bus
• several minor operational amendments concerning car parks at Bath Sport and Leisure Centre; Larkhall Square; and the Holburne Museum
We seek your specific feedback on the proposals, and how they will directly affect you. We will engage with you, or raise your comments and potentially your details, within the Council, to the extent that it is required to meet the purposes of the survey.
