Climate and Nature Staff Survey (Prize Draw) Privacy Notice

The purpose of processing

The council is surveying staff for their views on climate & nature within the context of their role at the council. As an incentive for participation in the survey we are offering a prize of a £50 voucher for one participant. In order to get in contact with the winner of the prize draw will be collecting contact information which falls into the category of personal data. This is not mandatory so you can still complete the survey without giving your contact information. Your survey responses will be processed independently from your contact information.

We may ask you for details that include:
Name
Email address

How is it used?

Contact data that has been submitted will be received by B&NES Council the who will only use your personal data to award the prize of a £50 voucher.

The prize winner will be chosen at random with pseudonymised information. Each response will be assigned a unique number, which will be entered into an online name selector. The selected number will be matched to the contact details, and we will notify the individual.

Your data will not be shared with any external organisation.

How long is the personal data retained by the Council?

We will retain your contact information only until the prize draw is completed. Once the draw is finished, we will delete any personal data we have collected.
