If you're looking for a quiet and simple ceremony, set within a grand historic building, our Blue Room at the Guildhall in Bath is the ideal place.
Guildhall, Bath
The iconic Guidlhall, a magnificent Grade 1 Listed Georgian and Victorian building in the heart of Bath, houses our Blue Room.
The Guildhall is an impressive setting for a ceremony, with Georgian interiors and grand staircases creating an elegant wedding scene. A short stroll away is the beautifully kept Parade Gardens which overlook the River Avon and Pulteney Bridge, and the Roman Baths are just as close too, marking the union of two people in picture perfect harmony.
For couples seeking a small ceremony on a weekend, our Blue Room provides an intimate option. This ceremony is for four guests (two of whom will act as your witnesses.) You may exchange personal vows and rings if you wish, but music and readings cannot be included. Please note, the Blue Room is part of an office that is sectioned off by a room divider.
These ceremonies are available on Saturday at the following time slots:
Morning: 9am, 9:30am and 10am.
How to book
The fee is £270.00 and you can book and pay online. Alternatively, you can call us on 01225 477234 during office hours.
Photographs and videos
If you're using an official photographer, they're welcome to take photos throughout the ceremony. You will also be asked if you're happy for your guests to take photos on their phones and share to social media. If you would like one of your guests to make a recording of your ceremony, please let your Registrar know.
Confetti
Unfortunately, no confetti can be thrown whilst inside the Guildhall or at the main entrance to the Guildhall. Due to environmental concerns a small amount of confetti may be thrown at the south door of the Guildhall. This confetti must be biodegradable or natural dried petals. Confetti cannons are not permitted anywhere in Bath and North East Somerset.
