Use this page to find out about the support you can get between the ages of 21 to 25 as a care-experienced young person in Bath and North East Somerset.
From age 21 to 25 the offer can change slightly. We will talk to you about what can happen before you turn 21. We will ensure that nothing will change without your knowledge and agreement. You are important to us and although things may be different we continue to be here for you.

Your options
- If you continue to need support, in any area of your life, your PA can continue to support you and review and update your Pathway Plan together in order to help you achieve your goals and ambitions.
- If you are managing well and/or are not meeting your Personal Advisor (PA) regularly we may decide to ‘step back’ a little so that we are there in the background for those times you may need us – you could call your PA or the duty number to let us know what support you may need, when you need it and we will be happy to help.
- You can ‘opt out’ of support post-21 and tell us you do not want any support from the Care Experienced Team even if we think you still may need some support. You do have a choice. If you change your mind and want to ‘opt in’ then you are welcome back any time.
- A lot of the content in this offer is available to you post-21, which we can discuss with you at any point.
- If you decide to go to University, we can offer support to you and a bursary.
- If you have not yet accessed some of the financial entitlements you have then these remain available to you at any point you need them up to your 25th Birthday.
Stay in touch
- We will be in touch with you at least once a year if we haven’t heard from you but hope to speak or hear from you more frequently.
- We would love to hear from you - even if it is for you to share your news with us.
- We have a Hub in Bath ( (available every Wednesday 9.30am -4.30pm at Bath Children and Family Centre, 12 Charlotte Street, BA1 2NE) that you are welcome to drop into at any time for advice, guidance or just a catch up and some lunch. We would love to see you.
