BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, BATH) (UPPER LANGRIDGE, LANGRIDGE, TADWICK, UPPER SWAINSWICK AND WOOLLEY AREAS) (20 M.P.H. SPEED LIMIT) (30 M.P.H. SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2022

NOTICE is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council proposes to make an order under provisions contained in the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be that it is prohibited to drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour or 30 miles per hour on the lengths of the road in Bath as listed in the schedule to this Notice.  

Full details of the proposal are contained in the draft order which, together with a map and a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the order, may be inspected, free of charge, at The one Stop Shops 3-4 Manvers Street, Bath and at the Keynsham Civic Centre, Market Walk, Keynsham during normal office hours. The proposal may also be viewed on the Council’s website by typing in 21-033 in the search box on the home page: www.bathnes.gov.uk/permanent-traffic-order-notices

Objections and representations with respect to the proposal, together with the grounds on which they are made must be sent by 26th May 2022 either in writing to the Traffic Management Team at the address below, or by email to Traffic_Managementteam@bathnes.gov.uk. Please quote the title of the scheme (Various Roads, Bath) (Upper Langridge, Langridge, Tadwick, Upper Swainswick and Woolley areas) (20 M.P.H. Speed Limit) (30 M.P.H. Speed Limit) Order 2022 and the reference 21-033. Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representations, together with the name and address of the person making it, could become available for public inspection.

Langridge Lane From a point 204 metres east of its junction with Lansdown Road for a distance of 547 metres in a north easterly direction.

Langridge Lane That length of Langridge Lane which extends from a point 402 metres west of Tyning Lane in an easterly direction to its junction with Tadwick Lane.

Tyning Lane  Entire length.

Tadwick Lane From a point 690 metres north of Langridge Lane for a distance of 490 metres in a northerly direction.

Tadwick Lane That length of Tadwick Lane which extends from a point 565 metres south east of Woolley Lane to its junction with Gloucester Road.

Manor Lane Entire length.

Innox Lane From its junction with Church Lane for a distance of 185 metres in a south easterly direction.

Gloucester Road That part of Gloucester Road which extends from its junction with Tadwick Lane for a distance of 127 metres in a northerly direction.

Woolley Lane From a point 210 metres south of its junction with Tadwick Lane to its junction with the High Street.

Langridge Lane From a point 751 metres east of its junction with Lansdown Road for a distance of 805 metres in a north easterly direction.

Tadwick Lane That length of Tadwick Lane which extends from a point 690 metres north of Langridge Lane for a distance of 2,090 metres in a southerly direction.

Innox Lane From a point 185 metres south east of its junction with Church Lane to its junction with Gloucester Road.

Woolley Lane From its junction with Tadwick Lane for a distance of 210 metres in a southerly direction.

Woolley Lane From a point 180 metres south of its junction with the High Street to its junction with  Charlcombe Lane.
