Bath in Bloom Committee
The Bath in Bloom committee supports a number of initiatives throughout Bath and neighbouring areas, which encourage the local people to take a pride in their community, keeping it tidy and attractive through flowers, landscaping and environmental projects. It particularly supports Bath’s annual entry to Royal Horticultural Society competitions. In addition it supports the local Bath in Bloom Competition.

What is it?
The Bath in Bloom Competition is open to all residents, businesses, schools, institutions and groups within the boundary of Bath and North-East Somerset.
Bath in Bloom is a competition to encourage the community to take pride in Bath and North-east Somerset, making it attractive with flowers, landscaping or an environmental project. It is organised by the Bath in Bloom Committee, working in partnership with Bath & North East Somerset Council.
There are a number and variety of categories to suit all types og gardeners and businesses. These are listed on the Bath in Bloom competition form.
How to Enter
Please download and complete the Bath in Bloom competition entry form with category details and submit to the address as indicated on the form.
(Entry forms can also be delivered to Council One Stop Shops in Bath, 3-4 Manvers Street; Riverside in Keynsham, The Civic Centre, Market Walk; Midsomer Norton, The Hollies, High Street, Radstock.)

If you need further clarification about which category to enter or about the Competition, please, telephone the Chairman, Leila Wishart on 01225 837885 or email her email@example.com First prize winners from previous year. If you were a winner in the previous year, you will automatically go forward to one of our three winners' categories. These are: best Group Winner, best Private Winner and best Business Winner.You will be contacted by a member of the Parks & Green Spaces department in order to verify that you wish to be entered.
School entries will be judged between Monday 25th June and Friday, 29th June 2018 (except those automatically entered into the Winners’ category).
All other categories will be judged between Saturday, 7th July and Sunday, 15th July 2018.
Judges will leave their calling cards if entries are visible from the road. If the judges need to gain access to the garden, they will contact you in order to do this. The judges’ decisions will be final. Each entrant may choose one category only.
For the majority of categories the judges will be marking your entry on the following criteria:
• Variety and the use of a range of plants
• Colour Combinations
• Originality and design
• Condition, care and sustainability

Presentation of awards
Award winners and their friends will be invited to attend the Gala Presentation of awards and prizes in autumn 2018 at The Guildhall, High Street, Bath.
Reception at 6.30pm for 7.15pm. Awards and Prizes.
In Your Neighbourhod
The Bath in Bloom Comittee supports also the In Your Neighbourhood initiative, which is run by the Royal Horticultural Society. In Your Neighbourhood (IYN) is a non - competitive scheme run by The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) for community groups who want to “green up” local areas, offering advice and awarding certificates for 5 levels of achievement.
